No New Posts Integration Services (SSIS)/Data Transformation Services (DTS)
The traditional ETL-centric data integration from standard data sources continues to be at the heart of most data warehouses. However, demands to include more diverse data sources, regulatory requirements, and global and online operations are quickly transforming the traditional requirements for data integration. Against this backdrop, the need to extract value from data and the need to be able to rely on it is more important than ever before. Effective data integration has become the basis of effective decision making. SQL Server Integration Services provides a flexible, fast, and scalable architecture that enables effective data integration in current business environments.

No New Posts Analysis Services (SSAS)
Too often, businesses find that their investment in first-in-class applications leads to silos of information that become difficult to integrate and analyze. SQL Server 2005 Analysis Services reduces the amount of effort required to provide a consistent view of data that is integrated from disparate applications and formats. Whether the goal is to integrate data from multiple applications into a consistent format, analyze data from a variety of sources, report against this data using a variety of formats and techniques, mine the data for relationships, or forecast future results with predictive analytics, SQL Server 2005 Analysis Services provides a suite of highly integrated tools to help businesses take full advantage of the spectrum of BI.

No New Posts Reporting Services (SSRS)
SQL Server 2000 Reporting Services delivered on the promise of cost-effective, enterprise reporting for the entire organization. SQL Server 2005 Reporting Services (SSRS) takes this promise to the next level. Core product improvements are delivered through direct client printing, end user sort, multivalued parameters, custom report items, and Report Designer enhancements. SSRS also enhances the reporting experience by tight integration with SQL Server 2005 Analysis Services, SQL Server Management Studio, and SharePoint Services. The developer environment improves through a better experience within Visual Studio for integrated report development. It is also enhanced by report controls which allow for simpler embedding of reporting into application development. Finally, the end user is empowered through the addition of Report Builder. Business users are able to build or modify reports outside of Visual Studio using a drag-and-drop paradigm, using a business translation of the underlying data base schema.

No New Posts Business Performance Management
The basic premise behind Business Process Management (BPM) is that most things a company does can be boiled down to a repeated, sustained process. As such, they can be technologically tracked, examined and refined. The goals: to standardize procedures and spread best business practices throughout an organization, thereby cutting costs, pleasing customers, and slashing cycle times. A retailer might use it to streamline the way sales clerks receive and shelve products as they enter the back door of stores. A bank might use it to shorten its loan underwriting process. An auto insurance company might improve the efficiency of its claims processing. Companies often initiate use of BPM technology with a single business process, and then expand its use to include more tasks.
